Why is my A/C not putting out much cool air?


This can occur when the condenser gets clogged up with debris. This affects air flow, making it weak. This is simple issue to fix, but can cause a few serious complications if not addressed. One of those would be to have to replace the a/c unit. The stress of performing ineffectively for an extended period could burn out the motor.


Another issue is healthy related. Mold and germs may begin to grow in a dirty environment, which can cause illnesses such as allergies or respiratory conditions. To avoid or repair this is as easy as changing filters quarterly and keeping the condenser clear of debris.


What are problems that are common to air conditioners?


Water leaks – this can occur inside or outside of the home. Over time, a leak inside the house could be devastating to floors and furniture if left unchecked.


AC refrigerant leak – this is an easy fix and needs to be addressed immediately upon being identified.

Dirty air filters – debris and dust can clog the air filter in a short period of time. We suggest replacing the filter in the Spring, mid-Summer and in the Fall as you shut the system down for the cooler months.

1) Check to see if the thermostat is functioning correctly

2) Find the condenser on your unit and check to see if it’s blocked.

3) Check your filter. Again, change it out every few months.
